North Channel Quilt Guild. We meet at 7:00 PM, the third Thursday of each month at the Sterling Wood Baptist Church at Beltway 8 and Scotter on the east side of Houston. Our due are $15 a year and the atmosphere is friendly and helpful. Our guild began in 1996 and attracts members from 11 years old to 80 years young. Our Angel Ministry provides layettes to St. Luke s Hospital for the precious Angels that have gone on before us at childbirth. We also donate quilts to the local fire departments for those who have suffered trauma either at the hands of a fire or an accident. We have a Charm Square Exchange each month, along with a Block of the Month. We have demonstrations and classes at every meeting, as well as door prizes and refreshments. We have Secret Pals and Special Sisters. Don t miss our Block 2000 Quilt and our Annual Quilt Showcase.

SW Houston Area. Coastal Prairie Quilt Guild of Texas. We have about 140 members who pay $25 a year in dues. We meet at 10am on the third Thursday of the month at the Meadows Place Community Center. We have a quilt activity group that supports different activities each month. Activities include block and fabric swaps as well as varied challenges. We provide speakers, workshops, bees to become involved in, charity work. Although we are new, formed in July of 2008, we plan a quilt show in the coming two years. West Houston Quilt Guild meets the 3rd Wednesday, 6:45pm to 9:00pm, of each month at Bear Creek Community Center, 3055 Bear Creek Drive, Houston, TX between I-10 and Clay Road off Hwy 6. All skill levels and visitors are welcome. We have guest speakers, workshops, and retreats. We also do charity work and a bi-annual quilt show. Dues are $30.00 annually.

Monarch Quilters Established in 1983, Monarch Quilters meets the second Monday of each month at 9:00 am. We alternate meetings between Salida and Buena Vista. There are over 90 members. Annual dues are $36. There is a program every month and usually workshops/classes in conjunction with most meetings. We have a block of the month, show and tell, and a quilt show every other year. Visitors are welcome.
